In New York, unemployed and separated Larry Daley is a finished washout. His child Nick is extremely frustrated with his dad who will be expelled. Larry acknowledges the occupation of night gatekeeper in the Museum of Natural History and assumes the position of three old security monitors that have recently resigned keeping in mind the end goal to raise some cash and pay his bills. On his first move, Larry soon understands that everything at the exhibition hall is not as it appears as the statues become animated after the sun sets. The Museum changes into complete turmoil with the unpracticed Larry in control as he discovers that an old Egyptian stone that went to the Museum in 1950 breathes life into these statues until sunrise. At the point when Larry brings his child to go through a night with him, the three old watchmen break into the Museum to attempt to take the otherworldly stone. Larry arranges all the noteworthy characters to help him stop the hoodlums and recovery the historical center.
